Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

This policy explains what Lumavante collects when you visit lumavante.com, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can do about it. It applies to this website only, not to any seller's website you may reach from here.

Who we are

Lumavante is an independently owned online publication operated by Charles Silva from Brazil, publishing for readers in the United States. For any privacy question or request, write to contact@lumavante.com.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We keep that correspondence only as long as we need it to handle your message and any follow-up.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records standard technical data when a page is served: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the page requested, the page that referred you, and the date and time. This is ordinary server logging and is used for security and to keep the site working.

Advertising identifiers. When you arrive from an advertisement, the link may carry a click identifier — for example the gclid, gbraid, or wbraid parameter used by Google Ads. We use it to understand which advertisements bring readers who find the site useful. It identifies a click, not a name.

Analytics and advertising cookies. We use analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, and advertising cookies to measure whether our advertising works. Details in the cookie section below.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and this site is not directed to children.

What we do not collect

We do not take payments and we never see your card number or bank details. Purchases happen on the seller's website, under the seller's own privacy policy. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We and our providers may set:

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies does not stop you from reading anything here. To opt out of personalized Google advertising specifically, use Google's own controls at adssettings.google.com.

Who else receives data

We use a small number of service providers, and they receive only what they need to do their job:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Where data is handled

This website is hosted in the United States and operated from Brazil, and our providers may process data in either country or elsewhere. If you are outside those places, your information will be transferred and handled in a country whose privacy laws may differ from your own.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a short operational period, typically no more than a few months. Analytics data is retained according to the platform's own retention settings. Email correspondence is kept while it is relevant and then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising. Residents of California under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and residents of other U.S. states with comparable laws, have these rights.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by California law.

To exercise any right, write to contact@lumavante.com with enough detail for us to find your records. We will not treat you differently for asking. If you are in Brazil, the LGPD gives you equivalent rights and the same address reaches us.

Do Not Track

Browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal, but there is no common standard for honoring it, and we do not currently respond to it. The browser and platform controls described above do work.

Links to other websites

This site links to sellers and other third parties. Once you follow a link, you are on their website and their privacy policy governs, not ours. We are not responsible for how they handle your data, and we encourage you to read their policy before buying.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
